My buddy Joe bought me this X-Wing model kit from Bandai and i have never been so impressed with a model or ease of build! The level of detail is amazing and having watched several videos on Youtube featuring various other models builds in the Star Wars line and I was sold on the whole line. I have since bought Vader's Tie-Fighter, a regular Tie-Fighter and the AT-ST which is fully articulate.
I ended up taking my finished model outside to shoot a few photographs of it with real lighting and backgrounds. I digitally removed the wire I hung it from and added some digital effects in Photoshop.
I can't wait to get the other models finished and do the same.
I was completely blown away by the film "Loving Vincent" which was completely done in oil paint at 12 frames per second. The film itself is stunning to look at, but it does a really good job of showing you different aspects of Van Gogh's life. As an artist myself he is a constant source of inspiration.
For more insight into his life I recommend reading "The Letters of Vincent Van Gogh"
Here are two Van Gogh self portrait copies that I attempted.
